Q: l have been given the task of finding the longitude and latitude of my home and have no idea, Help!
A: The old fashioned way as used by navigators before the space age, use a sextant and compare astronomical observations with predicted data, and complex calculations. The modern way: Google Earth, Sat Nav or GPS will give a position Strange but dull fact: many different grid datums exist eg WGS84 (commonly used by satnavs) and ordinance survey. Mixing between datums results in my house 'moving' 120m.
